About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Science Technician to join our friendly and supportive Science Faculty. The role will begin in September 2026 and is permanent.

Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in delivering high quality practical work and inspiring students.
  • Maintain excellent standards of health and safety throughout the faculty, including COSHH and CLEAPSS guidance.
  • Prepare, maintain and organise scientific equipment and materials.
  • Assist with lessons, demonstrations and practical sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Experience and knowledge of key practical demonstrations that illustrate fundamental scientific concepts.
  • Strong IT, administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Interest and enthusiasm for teaching science.
Working Conditions

Salary: Grade 4 Points 5 6 (NJC) - to per annum, pro rata.

Working pattern: 37 hours per week, term time only, starting at 08:00 am, plus inset days.

Location: Southbourne, West Sussex.
