Job Description

The company is seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead initiatives across London, the Midlands, and the East of England within the high-rise and façades sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the company's innovative products and services, identifying new business opportunities, and developing strong relationships with key contractors and stakeholders. This role is ideally suited to someone with a solid understanding of the construction industry, particularly within façades, who is looking to play a key role in driving business growth while collaborating with a dedicated and forward-thinking team.

Duties Include
  • Promoting the company's range of products and services through specification and design activity
  • Identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, clients, and partnerships
  • Delivering CPD presentations confidently to industry professionals
  • Working closely with the BDM and RSM teams to secure business opportunities by managing and developing the project pipeline into sales opportunities
  • Attending relevant conferences and industry forums to maintain up-to-date market knowledge and develop networking opportunities
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of the company's products and the wider competitive landscape
  • Developing new relationships and strengthening existing partnerships with key subcontractors and main contractors
  • Conducting site visits to provide both pre- and post-sales support
  • Maintaining a clear understanding of key target markets, particularly façades and high-rise buildings
  • Demonstrating a competent understanding of Building Regulations and associated guidance documents

  • Maintains a strong understanding of the construction industry relevant to the company's products
  • Demonstrates proactive management of their region
  • Possesses the ability to read and interpret construction drawings to a competent level
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt and overcome challenges
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both verbally and in writing, including delivering presentations to CPD standard
  • Demonstrates openness and collaboration by welcoming and accommodating the input of others
  • Strong team player with excellent networking abilities
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills across all levels and functions both internally and externally
  • Proven track record of achieving challenging sales targets
  • Demonstrates a strong level of competency within construction, particularly relating to through-wall and façade systems
