Job Description

Job Title: Digital Services Owner

Contract Length: 12 months

Day Rate: Up to £875

Location: Porton Down, Salisbury / Portsdown West, Fareham - hybrid with occasional travel to the site.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a robust multi-service digital strategy, encompassing a suite of services aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with technical experts, programme, portfolio, and project managers to ensure services are delivered, maintained, and enhanced to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Take full ownership of service governance and management, ensuring operational excellence across all IT digital services.
  • Serve as the escalation point for all IT digital services issues.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on service quality to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, using effective communication to secure support for the digital strategy.
  • Operate in an agile environment to prioritize service changes and initiatives within the portfolio according to evolving business needs.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing IT digital service strategies that meet both current and future business needs.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business requirements into practical operational solutions.
  • Proven track record of leading IT services through their full lifecycle, from inception to adoption, continuous improvement, and eventual decommissioning.
  • Experience managing multiple IT digital services, ensuring adherence to quality, contractual, KPI, and SLA standards.
  • Skilled in delivering IT services through diverse resourcing models, including internal teams, contractors, and third-party providers.
  • Experience negotiating and managing Service Level Agreements while ensuring team and vendor performance.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing requirements, and consistently deliver results.
  • Expertise in collaborating across digital teams to develop roadmaps and translate them into impactful initiatives.
  • ITIL Level 3 certification (or equivalent experience).
  • Agile experience or certification, e.g., PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner, Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I), or equivalent.
  • Must be a British Citizen - no VISA sponsorship available.
