Job Overview
Blue Arrow Derby is working in partnership with an excellent manufacturing company, recruiting a full time permanent Logistics & Transport Management Analyst at the Denby site. Hours: 40 hours per week, office based.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the implementation, optimisation, and continuous improvement of transport management systems by acting as a key user and trusted partner for operational teams.
- Support transport and warehousing activities, maintaining reliable daily operations and high service standards across the logistics network.
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards, reports, and performance templates using Excel and Power BI, enabling transparency and data driven decisions.
- Analyse operational data and prepare business cases, cost analyses, and improvement initiatives that support operational excellence and strategic development.
- Collaborate with management to create presentations, performance reports, and insights that guide decision making and highlight optimisation opportunities.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external logistics partners to ensure smooth execution of processes and contribute to logistics related projects and transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Degree or comparable qualification in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or related field.
- Practical experience in transport and logistics.
- Strong analytical capabilities and advanced Excel skills (including Power Query and Pivot Tables); solid experience with Power BI for reporting and data modelling.
- Experience in system implementation, key user roles, or involvement in logistics improvement projects is advantageous.
- Structured, curious, solution oriented mindset; clear and confident communication of insights.
- Ability to work independently with high responsibility and positively engage with cross functional teams to achieve shared goals.
