The role
This is a field-based role focused on growing our SME customer base. As a Business Development Executive, you'll be responsible for identifying, winning and onboarding new business opportunities, building a strong sales pipeline, and working closely with operational teams to ensure a smooth and successful customer journey.
You'll be proactive, sales-driven, and confident working independently - spotting opportunities, opening doors, and converting prospects into long-term CitySprint customers.
What you'll be doing
- Identifying and winning new SME customers through proactive prospecting
- Building and managing a robust new business pipeline
- Generating leads via outbound activity, networking and market research
- Presenting tailored solutions, negotiating terms and closing deals
- Managing opportunities through the full CitySprint sales cycle
- Ensuring a smooth handover of new customers to operations and account management teams
- Maintaining accurate records in Salesforce and tracking performance against KPIs
- Working closely with operations and marketing to deliver the best customer outcomes
What we're looking for
- Experience in a sales, business development or commercial role
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- A proactive, target-driven mindset with the ability to work independently
- Confidence presenting solutions and handling objections
- Organised, resilient and comfortable managing a busy pipeline
- Previous experience using a CRM system (preferably Salesforce)
- Experience in logistics or a service-led industry is helpful, but not essential
