Main duties of the jobAs a Lead for the division, you'll be working with teams across the organisation and beyond to deliver user-focused projects that make a positive difference to the people of Wales.
You'll lead and manage the Development Team and help them prioritise their work, align with the organisation's long-term strategy and the Digital and Data Strategy. You will be part of the senior leadership across the division and the organisation, enabling successful cross-functional partnerships.
You'll be a passionate advocate for user needs and Agile approaches. You have experience of running Agile teams through Sprints and Epics to deliver brilliant services at pace, without stifling good governance or quality and testing processes. You will be instrumental in the continuous delivery of a strong, flexible development profession, and contribute to associated frameworks and standards within the digital, data and technology area.
As a strategic thinker, you will be constantly horizon scanning, identifying areas for discovery. You will create development roadmaps for services and be adept at handling migrations and managing legacy systems into end-of-life decommissioning. You have a strong background of understanding technical and data architectures, with the ability to scale up operations and manage contractors and suppliers.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
