Equities Cash Application Support Senior Manager
The role will be very hands on. Our team works closely with the development team, so we use an investigative approach to problems as they arise. The individual will provide technical direction to teammates and partner with teams in other countries/regions, requiring strong communication skills. The role is part of a globally aligned team that provides additional support to regional teams based at or near the trading desks.
Responsibilities
- Own and provide L2 support for mission critical & Equities Cash trading applications
- Work closely with development, QA and business support teams, and the Equities business to determine strategy & priorities and ensure the team meets business requirements; communicate progress effectively to all stakeholders
- Provide technical application support, monitoring the applications and technical platform, answer queries via phone, e mail and other communication mediums
- Maintain detailed knowledge of the applications and their upstream and downstream dependencies; understand application processes and database schema as an expert, but generally not required to read application code
- Perform appropriate problem solving tasks before passing on to another team with agreed format, logs, etc.
- When dealing with major issues, make key technical recommendations based on knowledge of systems and process flows
- Follow through to ensure each problem is resolved according to SLA
- Effectively communicate issues and status updates with business support, regional colleagues, and development teams
- Maintain a solid understanding of financial market protocols like FIX, and practical experience handling order and market data
- Prioritise multiple tasks, set goals, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to present and grasp complex technical and business concepts
- Background in Markets Cash Trading or Market Making domains

Education
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience operating in a similar role.
