What Is the Opportunity?

We are recruiting for a Capital Modelling Manager based in London. The role involves maintaining, running, developing, parameterising, and documenting the internal capital model and collaborating with actuarial, analytic, and business partners on projects such as reserving, reinsurance, pricing, regulatory reporting, planning/forecasting, project management, CAT modelling, ERM, and research.

What Will You Do?
  • Lead the successful execution and completion of assigned strategic initiatives and projects.
  • Develop solutions to resolve challenges of an initiative and propose change and innovation to improve team performance and timelines.
  • Collaborate on cross unit initiatives and support Europe and Enterprise initiatives.
  • Operate independently to perform actuarial and analytic analyses to solve business problems and apply judgment appropriately.
  • Support and drive components of unit initiatives, broad department initiatives, and process efficiencies.
  • Communicate analysis, project results, and other business initiatives to peers, partners, and non technical audiences, and create formal written communication such as memos or presentations.
  • Lead group discussions at the unit level and collaborate on ideas and challenges.
  • Mentor less experienced talent, support onboarding of new employees and interns, and contribute to training and skill development across the segment, Europe, and Enterprise.
  • Support recruiting efforts and candidate talent assessment as needed.
Qualifications (Must Have)
  • Experience in building and maintaining capital models.
  • Knowledge of capital modelling software (Tyche, Igloo, Remetrica).
  • Strong programming skills (SQL, R, Python).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in quantitative analysis.
Additional Ideal Candidate Qualifications
  • Associate Actuarial Credential preferred.
  • University degree in STEM related field.
  • Strong PC skills (MS Office, SQL, SAS).
  • Strong understanding of insurance products and industry.
  • Demonstrable ability in actuarial and quantitative analysis and statistical concepts.
  • Ownership of projects, ability to make recommendations, and present results to business partners.
