Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This position will be based in the CGI Chippenham office 5 days a week.
Your Future Duties and ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will design, build and manage secure, high-performing infrastructure environments that support critical defence and intelligence operations.
You will take ownership of delivering robust platforms across virtualised, cloud and software-defined environments, contributing to solution design and influencing key technical decisions.
Working closely with architecture, security and delivery teams, you will help shape resilient systems while continuously identifying opportunities to optimise, modernise and automate infrastructure services. You will play a key role in ensuring systems are reliable, scalable and aligned with strict security requirements, while also supporting complex troubleshooting and ongoing improvements.
Your contributions will directly impact programme success, enabling innovative solutions in highly secure environments while being supported by a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
You will bring strong experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering within defence or secure environments, with a focus on virtualisation, cloud technologies and secure system design.
A solid understanding of infrastructure lifecycle management, combined with hands on technical expertise, will enable you to contribute effectively to complex, high impact programmes.
