DDaT (ICT) Communications Engineer - South Wales Fire & Rescue Service

Responsibilities
- Support a resilient, secure and reliable network infrastructure that underpins critical operational and corporate services.
- Assist with day-to-day network support activities and help maintain network performance.
- Work as part of a wider team alongside internal colleagues and external suppliers to ensure services run smoothly.
- Contribute to digital transformation initiatives by supporting secure connectivity, assisting with network improvements.
- Gain experience with modern networking technologies to improve service delivery and user experience.
Qualifications
- A good technical foundation and willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working within a complex DDaT environment with appropriate guidance and support.
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical colleagues, follow procedures, and troubleshoot issues methodically.
- Some experience or exposure to enterprise networking and basic network security concepts beneficial.
- Positive attitude to developing skills and contributing to continuous improvement.
- Welsh language skills desirable but not essential.
