About The Role

Sunbelt Rentals Broadcast & Events is looking for a skilled and motivated AV Technician to join our specialist team supporting high-profile live music, corporate events, and broadcast productions. You'll be working with top-tier equipment and a passionate team, helping deliver technically flawless experiences for our clients across the UK and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, test, and configure AV equipment for deployment across a range of event types.
  • Support on-site installations, set up, operation, and de rig of AV systems including video walls, projectors, media servers, switching, and control systems.
  • Work closely with project managers, clients, and freelance teams to ensure all technical needs are met.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively on site and in prep.
  • Assist with maintenance and return checks of AV equipment to ensure it's event ready.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in both warehouse and live event settings.
  • Keep up to date with new technologies and contribute to continuous improvement across the team.

About You

To succeed in the role you will need to bring:

  • Experience working as an AV Technician in live events, broadcast, or corporate environments.
  • Good working knowledge of video systems including LED walls, projection, media servers, and signal distribution.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and cable plots.
  • Strong problem solving skills and a calm, professional attitude under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, travel, and stay away as required by projects.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
  • Industry qualifications (e.g., IPAF, PASMA, manufacturer training) are a bonus.
