Salary: Circa £50 £60k plus benefits
Join our team as a Senior Data Analyst and transform data into actionable insights. You will analyse large historical datasets, collaborate with stakeholders, and present trends at regular meetings. Your role involves innovative analytical techniques, predictive modelling and continuous data quality improvement.
Responsibilities
- Analyse large historical datasets and design predictive models.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand portfolio data and deliver insights.
- Create and publish Power BI dashboards and visualisations.
- Maintain data quality and optimise data pipelines.
- Integrate AI techniques into data analysis as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Degree, apprenticeship or diploma in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or similar numerical discipline.
- Strong coding skills - SQL and Python (other languages welcome).
Technical Skills (Must Have)
- Advanced Power BI - dashboard creation, data transformation, DAX.
- Advanced Excel - functions, pivot tables, visualisations.
- Advanced SQL - proficient in reading and writing queries.
- Experience handling unstructured data ( 1 M rows).
- Microsoft O365 suite and Snowflake (and/or SQL).
- Strong data analysis and visualization ability.
- Data Science / Predictive Modelling techniques.
Non Technical Skills (Must Have)
- Stakeholder engagement and communication at all levels.
- Team collaboration and project delivery.
- Adherence to time frames (internal or regulatory).
- Understanding of data regulations - PII, GDPR, data retention.
- Clear presentation of complex technical findings to non technical audiences.
Preferred
- Experience in insurance or financial services.
- Prior experience in a data team environment.
