Contract Type: Initial 12 month contract (Inside IR35)
Rate: £400 per day Inside IR35
Location: Hybrid in Redhill

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Purview Lead to join on a 12-month hybrid contract based in Redhill (3 days on-site). The role owns the enterprise product vision for Microsoft Purview, aligned to data governance, risk, and regulatory objectives, balancing competing demands across a complex federated organisation while ensuring consistent platform adoption and ongoing BAU effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and communicate the enterprise product vision for Microsoft Purview, maintaining the product backlog and making clear prioritisation decisions across competing regulatory, security, operational, and business demands
  • Translate regulatory and governance requirements into actionable product features, policies, and platform capabilities, acting as the primary product authority for Purview
  • Work with business, risk, legal, security, and technology stakeholders to embed Purview as a trusted enterprise capability across a federated business model
  • Define and oversee service-level objectives and budgets for the live Purview platform, ensuring effective transition into BAU support and continuous improvement
  • Engage senior stakeholders across divisions, setting expectations, communicating progress, and providing clear options and recommendations where priorities conflict

What You Will Ideally Bring:

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner owning enterprise-scale platforms in complex, regulated environments, with deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview (v2)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Purview capabilities including data classification, sensitivity labelling, data cataloguing, lineage, retention, compliance, and governance controls across hybrid and multi-cloud estates
  • Strong understanding of modern data governance frameworks and regulatory drivers, with experience translating compliance requirements into platform features and policies
  • Experience operating within federated organisations, balancing central governance control with local business autonomy
  • Strong Agile product management capability including backlog ownership, prioritisation, and roadmap management using tools such as Jira and Confluence
