Job Title: Infrastructure Storage Analyst - Spectrum Scale
Location: 1 day per month at Manchester office / can happen that the bank may ask candidate to visit Coventry's office at Birmingham in future for only 1 day per month
Salary/Rate: £316 per day inside IR35

Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our sector-leading consultancy clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Infrastructure Storage Analyst with Spectrum Scale experience to join their banking client.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, escalating to Senior Engineers when required.
- Complete tasks to agreed quality levels within stated timescales with minimal supervision.
- Look for improvement opportunities within the team and its processes/procedures.
- Support and guide peers, contributing to team efficiency and accurate technical documentation.
- Independently troubleshoot and resolve production service incidents.
- Undertake technical tasks such as patching, allocating storage, maintaining scripts, and configuring backups.
- Effectively prioritize tasks to ensure high priority activities are completed first.
Required Skills and Experience
- VMware enterprise skills such as vRealize, SRM, and Operations Manager.
- CISCO UCS infrastructure (compute, networking, and storage in a single unit).
- Knowledge of storage technologies vSAN and VxRail.
- Experience with Linux command line technologies (Unix interface).
- Exposure to and application of cluster management within Spectrum Scale.
- Familiarity with Spectrum Scale protocols, including GPFS, NFS, and SMB in an active active topology.
- Demonstrable knowledge in chosen technical discipline, essential experience working in complex, pressurised production environments (financial services experience desirable but not essential).
- Knowledge and experience with IBM Flash Systems, including replication using global mirror, metro mirror, and change volumes.
- Proficiency in provisioning and redacting storage across the IBM storage estate - all technologies.
- Experience with ticket management using ServiceNow.
- Awareness of AWS cloud technologies and associated features.
- Knowledge of AWS server administration and features.
- Experience working within an Agile delivery environment.
- Understanding of VMware products including vSphere, vRealize & related technologies.
- Understanding of Cisco UCS & HPE infrastructure.
- Understanding of virtualisation architectures and supporting experience.
- Awareness of how actions can affect availability.
- Awareness of GKLM (SKLM).
