We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technician to join our creative and friendly team based in our Shrewsbury office to work on large projects within the healthcare or education sectors.

About You

With a proven track record as a Technician with 10 years post qualification experience you will have sound knowledge of construction and detailing. Your structured approach to problem-solving and decision-making will complement your ability to work with minimum supervision as a collaborative team member.

Your Skills and Experience

  • No less than 10 years experience as a Technician
  • Demonstrable experience working in healthcare, DfE schools and high density residential settings
  • Highly proficient in Revit with continual use in practice as the primary design/delivery tool
  • Expert knowledge of UK Construction and Building Law

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day to day job running during production information and site stages under the supervision of a Project Director
  • Produce effective working drawing packages with the minimum of supervision
  • Advise on environmental and building regulatory requirements affecting the project
  • A good understanding of current and future fire regulations
  • Carry out Designer Risk Assessments (CDM)
  • Co-ordinate with other consultants/colleagues, disseminate information to team members and negotiate with statutory bodies
  • Ensure compliance with design, legal, statutory and professional requirements
  • Liaise with and produce documentation for statutory and local approval authorities
  • Able to provide COBie data
  • Source technical information, buildability awareness, carry out Health and Safety Risk assessments, prepare tender reports and recommendations, carry out measured surveys and implement and work to QA procedures
