About the job
As the Lead for the Agent Platform team, you will be part of Google DeepMind (GDM's) transformation into an AI-first organization. You will balance technical contributions with strategic management. You will lead a growing nimble, high-density team of currently 4 Executive Software Engineers, while remaining personally embedded in the codebase-spending 30-50% of your time designing and committing code.
You will navigate Google/GDM infrastructure, and build bridge-technologies that turn research into production-grade agentic systems.

- Invest in growth of the SWE team, providing coaching and feedback while fostering a culture of technical excellence and "AI-first" innovation.
- Act as the primary technical point-of-contact for teams building on the platform and navigate upstream dependencies across Google and GDM to remove barriers to productivity.
