The Role We're looking for a SQL, data modelling and Azure Data Factory specialist who has a strong background in designing and building innovative BI solutions to join our fast-moving organisation; someone who can deliver with excellence on ambitious projects to revolutionise current data practices. The role will cover the whole spectrum of BI/Reporting where you will design, build and maintain our central reporting infrastructure along with ingesting data from a variety of sources, cleaning, combining, processing and visualising to end users and other systems. Our Ideal Candidate Candidates will demonstrate our values: SQL and data factory experience are essential. Experience implementing a variety of data warehouse design and data modelling techniques, knowing what works best in individual situations. Significant experience designing and delivering reporting/BI solutions using modern tools and current best practice in a Microsoft technology stack. Significant experience delivering MI solutions through the PowerBI service. Excellent PowerBI front-end design skills and back-end data manipulation including DAX. A background in building solutions in an Azure environment with Data Factory, Azure SQL, Power apps/Logic apps and the Common data service Experience developing high quality SQL code with a great working knowledge of stored procedures, analytical functions and common table expressions; a proven background extracting complex data from multiple technologies, including MS-SQL/MySQL/Postgres databases, Dyamics365 CRM, Microsoft Common data service and flat files A knack for managing complex data, and developing insightful visualisations, strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management with the ability to influence, advise and consult at all levels. Good working knowledge of Python code A background working in multi-department, complex business landscapes Experience working with and managing senior stakeholders, to CEO level.
