Hays is recruiting a Software Developer for a Northern Ireland-based organisation offering hybrid working. This role is an initial 6 month contract, with the intention to move to a permanent position for the right candidate.

The RoleYou'll join an agile engineering team, building and enhancing modern applications across frontend and backend technologies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing applications using React, Python, and MongoDB
• Writing clean, maintainable code and contributing to system improvements
• Collaborating with developers to solve technical problems
• Learning and adapting to new tools and technologies

Essential Skills

• Experience as a Software Developer / Engineer
• Frontend development (HTML, CSS, React)
• Backend development using Python
• Database experience (MongoDB or similar)
• Git/GitHub and Agile experience

Nice to Have

• Cloud or serverless exposure (e.g. AWS)
