Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a large, global SAP transformation within a complex, asset-intensive supply chain environment. This programme goes far beyond a traditional S/4HANA implementation, focusing on end-to-end digital supply chain optimisation, asset tracking, and global process standardisation.
Operating across approximately 60 countries with a workforce exceeding 12,000 employees, the organisation supports some of the world's largest FMCG and retail supply chains through a vast network of reusable assets. This role offers exposure to a high-impact transformation programme that will redefine core business operations on a global scale.
The Role
As the SAP Transformation Programme Lead, you will take ownership of shaping and delivering a multi-year SAP transformation initiative. You will play a critical role in defining the strategy, selecting the right System Integrator (SI), and building a high-performing delivery team from the ground up.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic vision and deep SAP expertise, particularly within logistics and supply chain domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end SAP transformation programme, transitioning from a Legacy ECC environment to a modern SAP landscape
- Drive and manage the RFP process to select a System Integrator (SI)
- Define programme governance, delivery strategy, and implementation roadmap
- Build and lead a cross-functional programme team, including internal stakeholders, external partners, and SI resources
- Oversee design and delivery across key SAP modules, particularly:
- Warehouse Management (WM)
- Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- Materials Management (MM)
- Sales & Distribution (SD)
- Ensure alignment of global processes with business objectives, focusing on standardisation and optimisation
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders across business and technology functions globally
- Manage programme risks, dependencies, and budgets at scale
- Drive innovation in digital supply chain capabilities, including asset tracking and operational visibility
Required Experience
- Proven experience leading large SAP transformations, ideally including brownfield S/4HANA programmes
- Strong background in logistics and supply chain processes within asset-heavy or global organisations
- Deep functional understanding of SAP modules including WM, MM, SD, and P2P
- Demonstrated experience running RFP processes and selecting System Integrators
- Experience building and leading high-performing programme teams from scratch
- Experience operating within complex, global, multi-country environments
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive level
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on delivery oversight
Desirable Skills
- Experience in logistics/supply chain/transportation industry
- Exposure to asset tracking technologies and digital supply chain solutions
- Familiarity with global template design and rollout strategies
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA transformation methodologies and tools
