Salary: £30,000 - £60,000 basic (DOE) + Uncapped Commission
About the RoleWe are seeking a driven and commercially focused Business Development Manager to join a growing freight forwarding business based in Lutterworth. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven sales professional to take ownership of new business growth within a dynamic and fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the freight forwarding sector
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients
- Build long-term relationships with customers across key industries
- Prepare and present tailored logistics solutions to meet client needs
- Negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements
- Work closely with operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Consistently meet and exceed revenue and margin targets
Requirements- Proven business development experience within freight forwarding is essential
- Demonstrable track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Ability to provide evidence of previous successes (figures, wins, growth achieved)
- Strong understanding of air, sea, and/or road freight services
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently
