Job Title: Business Development Manager - Freight Forwarding

Location: Southampton

Salary: £30,000 - £60,000 basic (DOE) + Uncapped Commission

We are seeking a driven and commercially focused Business Development Manager to join a growing freight forwarding business based in Lutterworth. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proven sales professional to take ownership of new business growth within a dynamic and fast-paced logistics environment.

• Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the freight forwarding sector
• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients
• Build long-term relationships with customers across key industries
• Prepare and present tailored logistics solutions to meet client needs
• Negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements
• Work closely with operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery
• Consistently meet and exceed revenue and margin targets

• Proven business development experience within freight forwarding is essential
• Demonstrable track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
• Ability to provide evidence of previous successes (figures, wins, growth achieved)
• Strong understanding of air, sea, and/or road freight services
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently
