Platform Engineer

Key Responsibilities (Strings)

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable platform solutions
• Monitor, manage, and optimise AWS cloud infrastructure
• Contribute to engineering strategy and architecture improvements
• Document system processes, procedures, and infrastructure policies
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for secure and efficient deployments
• Collaborate with development teams to support system deployment and operations

Skills Required (Strings)

Minimum:

• Strong experience as a Senior Platform Engineer
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles
• Experience in Scripting and pipeline automation (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services
• Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)

Essential:

• Experience working with development and infrastructure teams
• Strong automation mindset to improve delivery processes
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, design, analytics)
• Hands-on experience with CloudFormation (Scripting, debugging)
• Working knowledge of Chef and troubleshooting
• Python Scripting and debugging experience
• Strong experience with Jenkins pipelines (multibranch, Groovy Scripting)
• Good knowledge of Linux commands and web service troubleshooting
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, NLB, API Gateway, Auto Scaling Groups)
