Founded at the beginning of the dot bubble in 1996, our CEO Charles Nasser had a light bulb moment to develop a truly customer-focused IT business. Since then, Claranet has grown from an Internet Service Provider (ISP) in the UK to being one of the leading business modernisation experts, who deliver solutions across 11+ countries.

At Claranet, we're experienced in implementing progressive technology solutions which help our customers solve their epic business challenges. We're committed to understanding their problems, delivering answers quickly, and making a lasting impact to their business. We are agile, focused and experienced in business modernisation. Our approach helps customers make genuine, significant shifts in their business strategy, to deliver financial savings, boost innovation, and create a resilient business. We continually invest in our people and the latest technologies, so our customers get peace of mind knowing that they have access to the best talent and services.

In the UK we have over 500 staff working in London, Gloucester, Warrington, Bristol, and Leeds, or as homeworkers.

Overview:

Your mission is to ensure customer requirements are translated into clear, accurate, and deliverable solutions. You will specialise in scoping client engagements by following structured guidelines to create high-quality Statements of Work (SOWs). Over time, you will develop the confidence and capability to lead scoping calls directly with customers, understanding their needs and shaping tailored solutions in collaboration with our delivery teams. This role provides a clear pathway for growth - from structured support to independent client engagement - and will equip you with the technical and consultative skills to thrive in the cyber security industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow prescribed scoping methodologies to create accurate and detailed Statements of Work (SOWs) across cyber security services.
  • Participate in scoping calls with customers, initially shadowing senior consultants and gradually developing to independently lead discussions.
  • Collaborate with technical delivery teams to validate scoping accuracy and ensure client expectations are aligned with service capabilities.
  • Work closely with the Sales Team to provide structured technical input during the pre-sales process, ensuring opportunities are scoped correctly from the outset.
  • Support the continuous improvement of scoping frameworks and templates, providing feedback to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop technical product and service knowledge to a level that enables clear, confident conversations with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the handover process to PMO and Delivery teams, ensuring smooth transition from scoped engagement to delivery.

Essential skills:

  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce structured, detailed, and accurate documentation (SOWs, proposals).
  • Ability to learn and apply structured frameworks and guidelines consistently.
  • Developing confidence in customer-facing communication - able to listen actively, capture requirements, and play them back clearly.
  • Analytical mindset to break down complex customer requirements into practical, deliverable solutions.
  • Collaborative approach to working with Sales, Delivery, and PMO teams.
  • Eagerness to continuously learn and adapt to new information.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
  • Self-starting, energetic and professional
  • Strong verbal reasoning
  • Capacity to analyse complex situations.
  • Manages conflict and challenges in an open and constructive manner.

Additionally the following experience would be beneficial:

  • Familiarity with cyber security services (penetration testing, GRC, MDR/EDR, etc).
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role or technical documentation role (even at graduate/entry level).
  • An interest in progressing toward a consultative presales, solutions architecture or penetration testing career path.

Entry requirements:

  • An A-Level in ICT
  • OR an International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in ICT
  • OR a Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject
  • OR a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits)

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week.
