Job Title: Digital Innovation Consultant

? Department: Technology Team Location: Hessle, East Yorkshire? Hours: 40 hours per week Reporting to: Chief Technology Officer

This is a hands-on, research-driven role ideal for someone with a curious mind, a self-starter attitude, and a hunger to learn. You'll help design and specify integrated technology solutions, support project leads, and continuously grow your expertise across multiple tech domains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technology Research & EvaluationExplore emerging technologies through desktop research, supplier demos, trade shows, and technical documentation. Engage with manufacturers to understand product capabilities and integration potential.

  • System Design SupportAssist in developing system designs that meet client needs across the full range of technology offerings. Contribute to technical specifications and ensure solutions align with client ambitions and budgets.

  • Site Inspections & ReportingParticipate in on-site inspections and produce detailed reports with findings and recommendations. Solo site visits may be required.

  • Project Documentation & CoordinationSupport project teams with task tracking, report writing, and meeting minutes. Help ensure smooth project execution and communication.

  • Technical Drawing & DocumentationInterpret and comment on technical drawings. Ability to amend drawings is a plus. Contribute to internal and client-facing technical reports.

  • Professional DevelopmentCommit to continuous learning and development to progress toward becoming a fully qualified Digital Innovation Consultant.

? What We're Looking For? Essential Skills & Experience
  • Experience in a technology or engineering role (design, installation, or support).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to research and design multi-component technology systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and task management skills.
? Desirable Skills
  • Experience in a tech project environment (6+ months).
  • IT helpdesk or network management experience.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software.
  • Ability to read schematics and fault-find.
  • Familiarity with:
    • ? IT network infrastructure
    • Display technologies
    • Audio systems
    • Control and automation systems
? Qualifications
  • A-levels or Level 4-5 apprenticeship.
  • Further/higher education in Computing, IT, Cybersecurity, Electronics, Electrical Systems, or Engineering is desirable.
Working Arrangements
  • Office-based in Hessle, East Yorkshire.
  • Travel within the UK and Europe required for projects and supplier meetings.
  • Occasional extended hours or weekend work to meet client deadlines.
  • Must hold a valid passport and clean UK/EU driving licence.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
