GENAI Strategy Lead - Python, LLM

An international bank is entering a major new strategic area: Artificial Intelligence. The bank is seeking a senior leader to design, develop and deploy its AI journey from strategy through implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) solutions that automate manual processes, enhance internal query resolution, and drive operational efficiency across the bank.

• Define and implement the bank's AI strategy, translating vision into actionable initiative

• Utilise business experience and methods whilst building the long-term roadmaps

• Utilise current tools built in Python and LLM

• Lead AI initiatives across multiple areas through the use of Python and LLM tools

• Secure buy-in, shift mindsets, and oversee staff upskilling programs

• Collaborate with technology, security, and business teams to ensure alignment and governance

• Build the AI function from the ground up, with ownership over strategy and execution

Key Requirements:

• Proven strategic leader with the ability to turn ideas into tangible results

• Experience in technology and familiarity with Python and other AI/ML tools

• Hands-on with strategy: able to drive implementation without performing technical development

• Strong understanding of governance, security, and risk-conscious environments

• Excellent stakeholder management and influence skills

• Collaborative, ambitious, and ego-free mindset
