Senior Developer

PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS 2 DAYS ON SITE AND INSIDE IR35

Role: Mid/Senior Developer - Contract (Inside IR35)
Location: Hybrid (2-3 days onsite in Warrington or York, rest remote)
Duration: 6 months (likely extension)

We are seeking an experienced Mid/Senior Developer to join a large digital experience programme. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing transformation of customer-facing applications, ensuring best practices in development and deployment are followed.

• Support the transition from project-based delivery to product-focused development.

• Embed disciplined code promotion processes and improve CI/CD practices.

• Drive improvements in code quality and maintainability.

• Enhance application observability, including logging and monitoring.

• Provide technical guidance and advocate for best development practices.

• Strong knowledge of JavaScript & TypeScript.

• Experience with Next.js and Node.js.

• Familiarity with Git flow branching strategy.

• Development experience with Azure Function Apps.

• Proficiency in GitHub Enterprise.

• Hands-on experience deploying and hosting apps in Azure.

• Agile/Scrum team experience.

• Strong documentation skills with Markdown.

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience, ideally with Bicep.
