Job Description

Capgemini Engineering are looking for an Airframe Repair Engineer to join us in Bristol (with remote working options) to support a number of airframe repairs projects.
  • Propose the appropriate repair solutions.
  • Perform design and preliminary stress assessments, provide design, and stress decisions to the customer.
  • Support of structural assembly activities.
  • Create/update justification documents of the repair solutions.
  • Analyse the applicability of the repairs. Find out about the repair or a/c configuration.
  • Analyse and design the modifications or corrective actions into the Structural Repair Manual.
  • Report and exchange information both ways, across trans-national team.
  • Qualified Mechanical Engineer.
  • Proven experience in structural A/C design in metallic and composites structures, especially in repairs or concessions.
  • Proven experience in Stress justifications for in service or concessions support, for both static and fatigue analysis.
  • Sound engineering judgement approach to repairs or concessions with clear understanding of the assumptions and simplifications accepted by OEMs.
  • Experience in handling Airbus documentation (Drawings, Technical notes, Manuals, Service Bulletin, SRM, ...)
  • Experience in customer service documentation (AIRNAV, SRM, AMM, IPC...) and ATA structure chapter (ATA 51, 52, 53, 55...).
  • Knowledge of the repair or concessions process in SAP and TRM.
  • Knowledge in CAD software (CATIA v5).
  • Knowledge in analysis software: ISAMI tools, Nastran, Hypermesh...
  • Strong ability to work autonomously but also as part of a trans-national team.
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and high-priority tasks, responsiveness.
  • Language Skills: Advanced level of English. Ability in Spanish, French, German will be a plus.
