Are you an enthusiastic Lead Software Engineer with a passion for Java Development?
This role calls for an experienced Developer who has expert level understanding of modern Java Development (Java 8 onwards) and solid experience in related tools. You will be getting involved in cutting edge micro services development on greenfield projects using a variety of technologies. This role is perfect for an experienced individual looking for an opportunity to take their career to the next level in a highly consultative environment. You will have endless opportunities for learning and development and be working alongside the Developers and Architects in the business.
As a Lead Java Developer within the team, we would expect that you are an expert in Java Development and the majority of the related tools. This role will also see you playing an integral part of the team in terms of technical leadership and helping out with the recruitment process.
This role is hybrid and so can be done from home with occasional travel into one of our offices based in London Edinburgh, Hemel Hempstead or Salford Quays.
What you'll be doing:
- Accountable for developing and implementing new and revised services and migration code
- Identify and raise technical risks
- Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes
- Working cooperatively with the scrum team to achieve high quality results
What you'll bring:
- Experienced within some of the primary technologies used: Java 8, Spring-Boot, React, Apache Camel, Docker or CNCF container tools, AWS Cloud, Microservices, Enterprise integration Patterns, CI/CD tooling, DevOps
- Working with Git based distributed version control systems (DVCS).
-Development Knowledge of SQL, triggers, and stored procedure development
- Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs
It would be great if you had:
- Knowledge of OpenShift or Kubernetes
