Salary: £22,500 per annum + Mobile Phone + Laptop

Qualifications for Hardware Engineer:

HNC/HND in electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering or two years' proven field experience in a similar field
Ability to lift up to 20 Kilograms
Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, test, repair, and service technical equipment
Ability to travel and adapt to changing work schedules
Familiarity with power tools and applications
Ability to communicate in English

Purpose of the Hardware Engineer:

Employees in this role serve primarily as service technicians.

The job includes assembly and testing of products, installation, repairs, and maintenance of the equipment both in house and on site.

An example of few of the main duties of a junior field technician are troubleshooting, demonstrating to the client how the equipment is used, establishing relationships with the client, and following company procedures. Also, creating service calls reports as well as the co-ordination, repair, and quality control of the Fortress system both onsite and within the assembly offices.

Responsibilities of the Hardware Engineer:

Assembly
Learning the various components and techniques of assembling Fortress devices
Keeping the assembly environment neat and in order
Ensuring sufficient stock of components is available to maintain general functionality of the department.
Testing, packing, and creating packing lists of the equipment to be shipped out to the client.

Repairs / Service
Repairing faulty devices returned from site / customer
Travelling to site to repair, test and resolve reported issues relating to the Fortress system
Identifying the issues repaired/replaced and communicating this to the relevant parties
Creating reports of service calls

Installation
Working as part of a team onsite to install the Fortress system
Preparing tools and materials prior to install to facilitate a smooth installation
Creating installation call reports

Maintenance
Providing annual maintenance to the client based on all existing equipment
Attending client's site to conduct service of all Fortress equipment

Commissioning
Providing in house training on Fortress Software applications.
Configuring and signing off the Fortress system completing the project
