Job Description

IT SUPPORT TEAM LEADER • REF: TC770
£27,116 to £33,309 per annum

The role holder will be responsible for leading a team of IT Support Technicians providing second-line IT support to UEA staff and students. The IT Support Team Leader will manage the day to day planning and prioritisation of tasks, the workloads of the team as well as ensuring the quality and timeliness of the delivery of IT Support. This will be achieved by monitoring service provision, ticket responses and escalations, and ensuring the team operates in accordance with agreed Service Levels. The role holder will also action, as a point of escalation within the team, for more complex or time-consuming technical issues as well being expected to undertake the activities of the IT Support Technician role when required.

A passion for customer service delivery, problem solving, excellent communication skills, ability to motivate staff and a high level of technical competency are required. A good level of education, including GCSE at Grades A-C in English & Mathematics, or equivalent qualifications and/or significant experience in a directly relevant role is also required, alongside a comprehensive working knowledge of IT systems as detailed in the Person Specification.

This post is available immediately on a full time basis for a fixed-term period until 31 July 2022.
