An opportunity to join an award winning market leader as a Senior eCommerce Developer within an established Development Team as part of a large enterprise organisation. This role will be responsible for all aspects of development and support for the company`s internally created application software including; the development methodologies, technologies, hardware/software environments and management of the e-Commerce development staff and project workload. You will also provide support to the Directors in maintaining and growing existing business relationships. Key tasks will include: - Prioritisation and supervision of the projects and responsibilities of the e-Commerce Development Team. - Responsible for developing and implementing change control processes for the development team to follow. - Provide development and on-going support for all e-Commerce and reporting applications and systems in the technology platform. - Monitor and maintain the externally hosted server farm to ensure security and service continuity. - Undertake capacity planning and management to deliver acceptable performance and service levels by implementations of best practice. - Liaise with business personnel to gather new and existing requirements and complete relevant documentation. Job Description Working as part of the Data and Management Information team, who are the central source of MI across multiple channels within the organisation, you will liaise with business stakeholders to manage deadlines and deliver business requirements, adding valuable insight, generating MI improvements and mentoring data analysts to help support development. The Successful Applicant As a Senior Data Analyst you will be somebody with solid data analysis experience, ideally within financial services, who possesses first class communication, and stakeholder management skills. You will have skills with software such as SAS, SQL or R, and be able to take complex, unstructured data, make it legible and valuable to the wider business. ·Degree educated with a depth of experience in data analytics, ideally within general insurance. ·Experience of working with ETL and developing an ETL environment ·Proven experience of working with non-data personnel across business functions when dealing with data requirements and facilitating their understanding of MI to ensure added value ·Ability to analyse the causes of data issues and advise on business solutions to address data issues and make sound data architectural recommendations ·Able to demonstrate excellent personal presentation skills in a one to one or group setting, and to exercise sound judgement and decision making and influence key decision makers.
