For more information on the role, please contact the Recruiting Manager Sarah Grattage, Key Responsibilities: Lead the delivery of traffic surveys and transport data collection programmes Manage and support technicians and casual survey staff Collect, analyse and present transport data to inform policy and decision making Maintain accurate datasets in line with national standards and guidance Oversee traffic survey equipment, including procurement and maintenance Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and relevant legislation About You: Relevant qualification (or equivalent experience) in transport planning, engineering, geography, data science or a related field, with the ability to apply this knowledge immediately Proven experience in transport data collection, monitoring and analysis, with minimal need for supervision Strong numerical and analytical skills, with confidence in quickly interpreting and presenting data to a range of audiences Demonstrable experience of managing or supervising staff and coordinating workloads effectively from the outset Practical knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and safe working practices, with the ability to apply these in day to day delivery Proficient in Microsoft Office and data management tools (e.g. Excel, databases, GIS), with the ability to quickly utilise systems and adapt to new technologies What we offer: A competitive salary based on your skills, experience and talent Hybrid and flexible working options An excellent local authority benefits pension scheme Professional development through learning opportunities, regular training sessions and apprenticeship and management schemes Further information on our Rewards and Benefits can be found here.
