Employment type: Permanent, hybrid - 4 days per week in our Manchester office Salary: £35,000 per annum We're looking for a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support to colleagues across AccessPay, ensuring our internal systems, devices and infrastructure remain secure, reliable and fit for purpose. Working closely with the Head of Internal IT, you'll play a key role in supporting our day-to-day operations, from onboarding new starters and managing user access to maintaining devices, troubleshooting technical issues and helping drive continuous improvements across our internal technology estate. Key Responsibilities Provide first and second-line IT support for colleagues across the business. Manage the joiner, mover and leaver process, including device builds, user accounts and access permissions. Support and administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and other internal business systems. Manage company devices, software licences and IT assets, ensuring security and compliance. Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking and endpoint issues, escalating where appropriate. Maintain accurate documentation, ticket records and support internal audits and compliance activities. Leverage AI tools such as Claude AI, Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT to identify opportunities for automation and drive productivity and efficiency improvements across the role. Desired Experience & Skills Experience in an internal IT support or service desk environment. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across hardware, software and networking. Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Windows environments. Knowledge of endpoint management and device administration using tools such as Intune and Entra ID. Excellent communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical colleagues. A proactive approach, strong organisational skills and a genuine passion for technology and continuous learning. Experience with Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Linux servers, NinjaOne, Microsoft Copilot or Claude AI would be advantageous.
