You will be responsible for delivering an efficient and effective business applications technical support services. We are looking for a candidate who can provide 2nd and 3rd line support on business applications, import data into databases and provide systems administration for database management systems, primarily SQL Server. About the role: As an IT Support Engineer / Systems Administrator / Data Analyst you will be responsible for; • Providing 2nd and 3rd line business applications support. • Providing systems administration services for database management systems, primarily SQL Server, to ensure availability of applications, optimise performance and identify capacity issues and faults. • Test and plan version upgrades and patching for the internal system and other systems and co-ordinate user acceptance testing prior to going live. • Importing data into databases using data import and bulk update methods. • Maintaining documentation and a timetable of regular processes. • Providing ad-hoc reports for users. Our Perfect IT Support Engineer / Systems Administrator / Data Analyst will have the following; • Proven experience providing 2nd / 3rd line business applications support. • Proven database admin and Transact-SQL skills in Microsoft SQL Server. • Proven experience in production of management information reports. • Good working knowledge of networking and data communications, including TCP/IP and DNS. • Excellent trouble-shooting and problem resolution skills. • Advanced data analysis and manipulation skills, including the use of Excel pivot tables and complex formulae.
