Job Description

We are seeking a technical developer /solutions architect to supporting web application and mobile solution development across multiple platforms. You will be required to provide support to the design phase of digital solutions, providing relevant technical expertise and experience and manage the development of various applications. Duties and Responsibilities: * Manage the installation, configuration and maintenance of various server based software (IIS, (url removed) framework, MS SQL, MSSQLMS, MySQL, PHP, DNS, etc.) on dedicated/virtual severs and local workstations * Work directly with clients providing technical consultancy, guidance, support and training as required. * Leading/working with internal development teams, remote teams, associates, suppliers and SME's * Support colleagues and peers with technical queries * Provide hands-on support for the various team activities as required * Provide support with testing, problem solving and QA * Ensure output is delivered profitably and within planned project timelines * Identify and develop new business opportunities, and assist in the preparation of proposals and other related project documentation Skills and Experience: Essential *4 years' commercial experience in digital development *Ability to demonstrate a successful track record in digital projects *A strong background in frontend web development technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/XML/etc.) *Experience of server side web development (PHP/(url removed)) *Experience in server configuration (OS, web servers, virtual servers, database, etc.) *Experience developing solutions for both mobile and desktop *Creative, problem solver, with an eye for detail *Personable, confident, dynamic and professional *Strong communicator, able to communicate effectively with colleagues, peers and clients clearly and professionally *Flexible with an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously *Excellent time management skills *An organised self-starter, with an enthusiastic 'can-do' approach *Fluent in spoken English with a very high standard of written English *Either hold or be able to achieve UK government security clearance *Full driving license Desired *Experience of image, audio and video editing *Configuration experience working with LMS/VLEs *Experience of multimedia development applications (Adobe Flash Professional/Animate CC, Captivate, Storyline, Articulate, etc.) *Practical experience with SCORM, AICC and Tin Can/xAPI *Training and experience in UX design for web and/or mobile applications *Project management qualification (PRINCE2 or equivalent) If Interested, contact Paul Smith on (Apply online only) or email (url removed)
