Big Data Architect

Hadoop / Cassandra / Spark / Scala Are you a Big Data specialist looking to work on an exciting greenfield project ? In this role you will be part of a small specialist team architecting the solution working for a leading international consultancy firm who have vast experience in Financial Services, Data and Analytics. You will come from a highly technical background and have experience of implementing end to end Big Data solutions. As this is a consultancy role I am looking for candidates with excellent communication skills ideally with experience working in a client facing environment. Required technical skills include: * Hadoop ecosystem experience * NoSQL - Cassandra, Spark (streaming) * Java / Scala programming Desirable skills include: * Elasticsearch or Solr * Cloud based Big Data solutions * Automated deployment: Ansible, Saltstack, Puppet, Chef * Datastax certification It would be advantageous to have experience working within the financial service industry however it is not essential.
