Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Service Architect to work within Central Government on a contract basis. This position is based in Bristol, initially until April 2017 offering up to £420 per day ltd. Main Duties: 55% Architecture Creation and Maintenance Support the senior Data Architect in the creation and maintenance of the Data Strategy Support the senior Data Architect in the creation and maintenance of the Data Architecture Roadmap Support the senior Data Architect in the creation and maintenance of the DVSA Data Architectures. Support the development and maintenance of the Data Reference Architecture. Support the Senior Data Architect and Head of Data and Business Architecture in the development and delivery of data applications, script and models for physical and logical solutions within the function Support architecture governance forums with the provision of information and architecture artefacts. 40% Delivery Support Support projects and programmes by proactively advising them on the architectural governance framework, the patterns processes and standards in place and ensuring projects align to the road maps. Ensure that projects are sighted on the Data Architecture and Data Strategy, and assist them to be compliant 5% Live Support Support the Service Managers and Product Owners in the resolution of data issues with the live services. Work with other members of the Strategy and Architecture team, other DS&T colleagues , and business colleagues at all levels to ensure that the Data Strategies and Architectures will support the needs of DVSA. Work closely with members of the Information Assurance team to ensure that the Agencys data is appropriately stored, shared and managed. Work closely with projects and programmes, including in-house Agile sprint teams, to support and assure the implementation of the Data Architectures.
