Senior Java Developer

The company Is a market leader in providing phasor-based Wide Area Management System (WAMS) solutions and services to the Electric Utility Industry has an opening for two Java Developers. As part of their Development Team you will be instrumental in ensuring high quality software solutions for global customers by contributing to innovative new and existing products. Their software solutions help electricity utilities to increase power transfers in their systems, avoid blackouts and increase the connection of renewable energy sources. This role provides a fantastic opportunity to join a small, successful and innovative team at an exciting point in its growth. This company have recently been acquired by a globally recognised organisation who are now looking to invest heavily into this business unit. As the selected Java Developer your responsibilities will include: > Designing, building and testing of world class software. > Participating on technical analysis in collaboration with the technical architects and business analysts. > Contributing to the maintenance of the products. > Collaborate with team members to find alternative design approaches to complex technical issues. Your technical skills and experience should include: Essential > Solid object orientated background with upwards of 3 years Java development experience > HTML5 / AJAX / JavaScript > Developing at network level / server side Desirable: > Experience with Java Swing, JMS, SQL > Linux/Windows environments > Sound knowledge of data structures and mathematical algorithms Personal profile As the selected Java Developer should be a self-starter with the capacity to follow on-the-job coaching and to get quickly productive. Proactive and a quick learner you should relish challenge and problem solving.
