Network Migration Support Consultant

Network Migration Support Consultant - 3 month rolling - Southampton - up to £325 per day Candidates will be required to hold SC or be willing to undergo full Security Clearance Our client, a leading Engineering Services company, is seeking a highly skilled Migration consultant with expertise in networks to join their networking team onsite in Southampton. As the Network Migration Support Consultant you will be responsible for the migration of the clients local LAN infrastructure and fault fixing throughout the migration. Major Tasks and Activities: * Daily responsibility for the migration of local LAN infrastructure at existing client sites. * Fault management and rectification during migration. * Circuit testing and sign off. * Migration of Wireless - Internal and Guest Wi-fi infrastructure including configuration, Maintenance and administration * Work with 3rd Party support to perform installation of new network infrastructure. * Administration tasks related to the migration * Production of Operational and Technical Documentation of cabinets and wiring diagrams. Qualification and Experience: * Experienced IT professional, focused on delivering effective and efficient operational capability. * Understanding of networking theory and practice. * Proven customer liaison skills * Confident working across a multi-disciplined IT environment, and diverse business * Understanding of IT management processes * Good technical knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure environments * Ability to produce high quality operational and technical reference documentation Additional Sites will be diverse, spread across the majority of the UK, with additional work in Northern Europe. Travel will be frequent, with regular overnight stays and out of hours working required
