GIBBS CONSULTING SUMMARY
Gibbs Consulting is a boutique IT services consultancy specialising in Data, AI, Infrastructure, Architecture and Digital. Established in 2005, we combine big-firm expertise with boutique-firm care, supporting leading organisations with technology delivery and transformation.
We are expanding our delivery capability to support a major digital transformation programme for an established end-customer within the workplace pensions and employee benefits industry.
We are looking for an experienced Product Solutions and Adoption Lead with a strong background in enterprise SaaS, product-led client onboarding, pre-sales qualification and digital product adoption.
JOB OVERVIEW
Gibbs Consulting is recruiting a Product Solutions and Adoption Lead to support a major digital transformation programme for a leading organisation within the workplace pensions and benefits sector.
The organisation operates a highly configurable, multi-tenant digital platform supporting approximately 150 enterprise clients and two million employees through personalised, data-driven pension and benefits journeys.
As the business transitions clients from a Legacy platform to its modern digital product, we are looking for someone who can ensure enterprise customers are successfully aligned to the standard product offering while delivering measurable adoption and business outcomes.
This is a product-led role, rather than a traditional technical Delivery Manager position.
Sitting within the Product function, you will work closely with Sales, Engineering, Configuration, Business Change and enterprise clients to qualify opportunities, assess product fit, challenge non-standard requirements and establish repeatable rollout approaches.
You will take ownership of client alignment and adoption outcomes from initial qualification through to product release, ongoing adoption and future upgrades.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pre-Sales & Client Qualification: Work closely with Sales to assess prospective enterprise clients, establish product suitability and support feasibility assessments before implementation commitments are made.
- Product Fit-Gap Analysis: Lead assessments of client requirements against existing product capabilities, identifying what can be delivered through standard functionality, configuration or bespoke development.
- Product Standardisation: Challenge non-standard client requests, protect the core product proposition and minimise unnecessary customisation that could increase delivery costs or affect other customers.
- Enterprise Client Alignment: Engage with senior client stakeholders to establish expectations, agree scope and ensure alignment between customer requirements and the product's capabilities.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Bring together Product, Sales, Engineering, Configuration, Operations and Business Change teams to identify dependencies, resolve issues and agree realistic rollout plans.
- Product-Led Rollout Methodology: Define, improve and embed repeatable implementation approaches that support efficient onboarding across multiple enterprise customers.
- Commercial Awareness: Understand the commercial implications of product decisions, implementation costs, non-standard requirements and customer commitments, protecting revenue and profitability.
- Legacy Platform Migration: Support enterprise clients transitioning from Legacy or heavily customised platforms, helping them understand the capabilities and benefits of a modern, standardised SaaS product.
- Customer Adoption: Own adoption outcomes beyond the initial release, ensuring clients successfully transition to the new platform and realise measurable business benefits.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor customer adoption, identify opportunities to improve rollout efficiency and support future product upgrades and enhancements.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as a trusted point of contact for enterprise clients, ensuring clear communication, effective decision-making and alignment throughout the customer journey.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience working vendor-side with enterprise SaaS products, ideally supporting multiple large corporate customers on a shared, multi-tenant platform.
- Strong experience in pre-sales qualification, solution consulting, feasibility assessments or product fit-gap analysis.
- Demonstrable experience assessing enterprise customer requirements against standard product capabilities and determining appropriate configuration or customisation approaches.
- Ability to challenge non-standard requirements and manage customer expectations while protecting the wider product proposition.
- Experience supporting multiple enterprise customers with differing business rules, operational requirements and configuration needs.
- Strong commercial awareness, including an understanding of how product decisions influence implementation costs, revenue and profitability.
- Proven experience working across Product, Sales, Engineering, Operations and Business Change functions.
- Experience taking ownership of customer adoption and measurable business outcomes beyond initial go-live.
- Good understanding of personalised, data-driven digital user journeys and modern consumer-facing digital products.
- Experience engaging with senior enterprise stakeholders, influencing decisions and managing competing customer requirements.
- Strong understanding of configurable SaaS platforms, product lifecycle management and repeatable customer onboarding methodologies.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience within workplace pensions, employee benefits, insurance, financial services, HR technology or payroll SaaS.
- Experience with B2B2C digital platforms, where enterprise customers purchase a product used by their employees or members.
- Experience supporting migrations from Legacy platforms to modern SaaS products.
- Knowledge of pensions administration, scheme rules or complex customer-specific business requirements.
- Experience defining or improving product-led rollout methodologies and measuring implementation efficiency.
- Experience with personalised digital experiences, customer engagement platforms or data-driven consumer journeys.
- Experience supporting enterprise SaaS products with subscription-based revenue models.
If you have a strong background in enterprise SaaS, enjoy working at the intersection of Product, Sales and enterprise customers, and know how to balance customer requirements with a scalable product proposition, we would be keen to hear from you.
