The RoleAs a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and supporting next-generation autonomous and robotic systems that help shape the future of defence and security.
Day-to-day, you'll provide systems engineering expertise across complex defence programmes, supporting trials, experimentation and system integration activities involving both crewed and uncrewed platforms. Working as part of a growing Future Systems team, you will support the development, testing and delivery of innovative technologies that provide operational advantage to MOD customers.

This role is 37 hours per week based at our PTP, Portsmouth site with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week.Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites will be expected. The successful candidate may support annual overseas trials activities, typically lasting between one and three weeks.
Maritime experience is preferred, however candidates from land, air and other complex engineering environments are encouraged to apply.
PTPPortsmouth Technology Park (PTP) is one of QinetiQ's key facilities, focusing on advanced technology development and engineering services. It is dedicated to research and development, ensuring that complex systems are designed, integrated, and tested effectively to meet operational requirements. The facility utilises sophisticated modelling and simulation techniques to analyse and predict performance.
Please note that all applicants for this role must be eligible for SC clearance, as a minimum.
