Join a leading independent automotive and services provider as a Windows 11 Deployment Technician!

Job Overview: As a Windows 11 Deployment Technician, you will be responsible for building, deploying, migrating, and decommissioning end-user devices as part of a large-scale Windows 11 rollout. The role involves device imaging, software installation, user data migration, asset management, and ensuring a smooth transition from Legacy devices to the new Windows 11 environment.

Location: Raynesway - DERBY DE21 7BE

Rate: An hourly rate, in-scope IR35, of £19.85 (PAYE) OR £25.75 (via a Hays Approved Umbrella Company).

Start Date: 01 Aug 2026 - 31 Jul 2027

Shift Pattern: Mon-Fri 10:00-18:30

Key Responsibilities

• Build new Windows 11 devices using standardised images and task sequences
• Enrol devices into Microsoft Intune/Autopilot (or SCCM where applicable)
• Install core applications (Microsoft 365 Apps, VPN, security tools, line-of-business apps)
• Deploy Windows 11 devices to end users in line with rollout schedule
• Decommission Legacy Windows 10 devices in line with IT policies
• Backup, restoration, and migration of user data
• Securely wipe data using approved tools and methods
• Remove devices from Azure AD/Intune/CMDB systems
• Manage laptop and device handover to multiple users and sites
• IT equipment Install/Move/Add/Change and Disposal ( data wipe and end of life support)
• Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders to resolve complex issues
• Update asset registers and deployment tracking sheets
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Key Requirements

• Must Have SC Clearance
