Job Description

Salary: £37,000 - 45,000 per year

Requirements
  • Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and modelling.
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Strong understanding of data wrangling, statistics, and exploratory data analysis.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as matplotlib, seaborn, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and data engineering practices.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database querying.
  • Understanding of model deployment techniques and MLOps.
  • Awareness of AI ethics, fairness, and data privacy.
  • A relevant BSc or MSc in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field would be beneficial.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models and analytics solutions.
  • Clean, process, and analyse structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify meaningful patterns and insights.
  • Collaborate with senior colleagues and stakeholders to understand business challenges and define requirements.
  • Create clear and effective documentation and visualisations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Contribute to improving data science workflows through participation in code reviews and best practice development.
  • Monitor and maintain model performance, including retraining and validation.
