Senior Java Developer - Leeds (Hybrid) - Up to £85,000 + 10% Bonus
I'm recruiting on behalf of a leading consulting client for several Senior Java Developers to join a major Banking & Financial Services programme based in Leeds.
This is an opportunity to work on large-scale, cloud-native applications within a modern engineering environment, collaborating with talented teams using the latest AWS and DevOps technologies.
The Role
- Design and build scalable Java/Kotlin applications
- Develop cloud-native solutions on AWS
- Contribute to architecture and technical decision-making
- Mentor developers and champion engineering best practice
- Work within Agile, DevOps and CI/CD environments
Key Experience
- Strong Java (Kotlin beneficial)
- Spring Boot and Microservices
- AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation, OpenSearch)
- SQL and relational databases
- Docker, GitHub Actions and CI/CD
- DevOps and cloud engineering practices
Nice to Have
- Node.js or TypeScript
- Angular
- Datadog
- Amazon Step Functions
