Were supporting a leading global technology consultancy looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join their software delivery team in Newcastle.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex technology programmes, acting as the link between business stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver innovative digital solutions.
Youll play a key role in understanding business needs, translating requirements into technical solutions, and supporting delivery teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
What youll be doing:
- Acting as the bridge between business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering teams
- Eliciting, analysing, and documenting business and technical requirements
- Creating functional designs, process flows, sequence diagrams, business rules, and user stories
- Supporting product owners with backlog refinement and prioritisation
- Working closely with developers, testers, UX teams, architects, and DevOps teams
- Supporting testing activities, including reviewing test cases and managing defects
- Identifying risks, dependencies, and technical constraints
- Supporting business readiness, change activities, and implementation planning
- Facilitating Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and refinement sessions
What theyre looking for:
- 1.55 years experience as a Business Analyst within a software delivery or technology environment
- Experience working across business and technical teams
- Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder management skills
- Experience producing BA artefacts such as:
- Process maps
- User stories
- Functional designs
- Business requirements documentation
- Understanding of APIs, databases, and system integrations
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Senior Analyst / Consultant level candidates:
- Ability to operate independently in client-facing environments
- Experience shaping solutions and influencing stakeholders
- Experience working closely with architects and engineering teams
- Ability to mentor junior Business Analysts
- Strong understanding of Business Analysis techniques and methodologies
