In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
- Implement strong data governance, lineage, and reconciliation controls to ensure accuracy and completeness of reported data
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in Software Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education
Desired Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of capital markets products such as derivatives, securities financing transactions, equities, and fixed income.
- Experience in regulatory reporting, risk, compliance, or audit-driven environments
- Knowledge of non-financial regulatory domains
- Familiarity with data governance tools and metadata management platforms
- Experience with event-driven architectures or streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, Flink)
- Exposure to containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of controls, auditability, and regulatory expectations in large financial institutions
- Ability to influence and collaborate across business and technology teams
- Familiarity with responsible AI principles and understanding of how AI can augment software engineering
