Technical Security & Infrastructure Contractor

North Yorkshire | 3 Days Onsite | 3-Month Contract | £450 per Day outside IR35

We urgently need an Infrastructure & Cyber Security Specialist to support a key security improvement programme.

The successful contractor must have hands-on implementation experience with both:

Sophos MDR
AppCheck

This is a hands-on role focused on delivering and embedding security solutions, alongside supporting wider security, compliance, and risk activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and support Sophos MDR and AppCheck.
• Assist with security, compliance, and risk management initiatives.
• Support vulnerability management and security monitoring.
• Review and improve security controls, processes, and documentation.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver security enhancements.

Skills & Experience

• Strong Infrastructure and Systems Administration background.
• Proven cyber security experience in a hands-on technical role.
• Experience implementing and managing security tools and platforms.
• Knowledge of security best practices, compliance, and risk management.
• Ability to work independently and hit the ground running.

Desirable

• Cyber Essentials experience.
• IASME knowledge.
• Experience within Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.

Suitable backgrounds include Infrastructure Engineer, Infrastructure & Security Engineer, Senior Systems Administrator, Security Engineer, Technical Lead, or Technical Manager.
