C++ Software Developer (contract)

Contract role providing services to the company through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions (AGS). If selected, employed by AGS, not company employee.

The company's Applied Sciences Group incubates disruptive technologies for next gen hardware products and works on projects that shape computer perception. Operating as a startup within the company, this team collaborates with research and product teams to bring new experiences, largely powered by computer vision.

As a Senior C++ Engineer, you will turn research AI/DNN models into production ready, high performance code across camera systems, GPU, and AI frameworks. The role mixes low level optimization and AI integration in a fast moving, startup like team.

• 5+ years of hands on experience in C++ development
• Experience working across Windows, Linux, and Android platforms
• Strong working knowledge of
  • Win32
  • CMake (build systems)
  • Python (scripting/automation)
• Experience using
  • Git (version control)
  • Continuous Integration (CI/CD tools)
• Strong computer science fundamentals
  • Data structures
  • Algorithms
  • System design thinking
• Ability to
  • Understand complex algorithms
  • Implement them efficiently in production code
• Experience in
  • Porting reference implementations
  • Optimising code for hardware specific performance
• Good communication skills: can clearly explain technical concepts
• Strong problem solving mindset
• Interest in automation and improving processes

• Location: Hybrid (1 2 days in office, Reading, England)
• Duration: Until 30th June 2027
• Shift Timings: Monday - Friday (Business Hours)
• Pay Range: £350 - £400 /day (PAYE)
• Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
