Based in Stevenage
Salary Circa £65,500 Hybrid, 2 days on-site
You've run critical infrastructure before. You know what it feels like when the lights can't go out, when a failover has to work first time, and when a call-out rota means your phone is never really off. If that's familiar, keep reading.
We're looking for a Data Centre Manager to take ownership of critical UK infrastructure and data centre environments for a major defence organisation. You'll be the person accountable when it matters, leading operational stability, resilience and security across server, storage, network and cloud environments, and you'll manage the team and third-party providers who keep it all running.
This isn't a maintenance role. You'll lead disaster recovery testing and failover exercises, own business continuity planning, and drive continuous improvement across power, cooling and building management systems. You'll also line-manage the UK Data Centre Operations Manager, so this comes with real leadership scope, not just technical oversight.
What you'll need:British citizenship required. This role requires DV clearance. If you don't currently hold it, you'll need to be eligible and willing to go through the process.
On offer:salary circa £65,500 depending on experience, bonus up to 21% of base, pension contributions up to 14%, and a genuinely flexible hybrid working pattern.
