As a member of the Utility Computing (UC) organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Analyze and resolve complex issues impacting customers or internal services.
  • Monitor and improve system performance and reliability.
  • Automate manual processes and implement operational excellence best practices.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and other teams to design and implement solutions.
  • Troubleshoot Linux, networking, and infrastructure components in a 24/7 production environment.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals.
  • Experience in Linux systems administration and/or development.
  • Experience working in a 24/7 production environment.
  • Experience in at least two of these languages: Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby or Bash/Shell.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of configuration management systems such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or related systems.
  • Experience in site reliability engineering, systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration.
  • Experience with network capture and systems troubleshooting.
  • Experience building scripts, tooling, and automation for large-scale computing environments.
